Oconto, WI (September 29, 2026) – Cruisers Yachts, a premier American yacht builder with more than 70 years of heritage, is offering a first look at two new expressions of the VTR, the 45 VTR and the 45 VTR EC, ahead of their official debut at the 2026 Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show.

At 45 feet with a 13'10" beam, wider than anything else in its class, the new models bring more room, more luxurious finishes, and more liveability to the VTR lineup, without losing the character the series is known for. Each model offers a single-level main deck, private dry head with a separate shower, a summer kitchen, quilted upholstery with double top-stitching, and a sliding lower cabin door, a new addition to the line.
"We approached the 45 VTR and 45 VTR EC with a clear focus on creating boats that are thoughtfully designed from the inside out. Our team looked closely at how owners want to use their boats and focused on maximizing space, functionality, comfort, and performance while elevating the design and character that define the VTR series. Below the surface, both models share a hybrid stepped hull developed in partnership with DLBA Naval Architects, the same firm behind the 38 VTR’s hull.
"The 45 VTR takes the proven hull form of our popular 38 VTR and elevates it to a larger, more stable platform. Its sleek design features a fine entry at the bow that transitions seamlessly into an optimized blend of beam and deadrise, enabling it to handle challenging sea conditions with ease while delivering a soft, dry ride. Smartly positioned strakes help reduce spray and generate lift to minimize drag, while quasi-steps ventilate the outboard hull bottom, lowering wetted surface for improved efficiency. Together with a carefully balanced lower center of gravity, these features ensure lower trim through the hump and a smooth, confident running attitude at all speeds," said Christopher Swanhart, PMP, Director of Recreational Boats at DLBA Naval Architects.
